Overview

The template package arrives in a Winzip (.zip) format. All of the files, the CSS, the images, etc will be included in this zip file package. And, a ReadMe file is provided to highlight information useful to helping you get started:

1. Master Files (Photoshop & Flash)

3. Cascading Style Sheet
4. Includes

Note - some elements may not display in the FrontPage 'split' or 'design' view but will be apparent in the 'preview' mode and when published to the live site. This is expected behaviour with some CSS driven templates.

1. Master Files

We understand that you might want to make some change to the master files and so we've included the master files for PhotoShop file and Flash file in a separate zip file.

Photoshop Master File

Master images included - a layered PhotoShop files containing the master images is included in a separate zip file.

Tutorial - a PDF guide is included to step you through the process of chaning the master images, while still maintaing the original design "look & feel". See our tutorials page for more info.

Flash Master File

Clean Coded Flash!

Only very experienced Flash users should modify the Flash master file provided in this template as it is set-up to use action scripts and dynamic text features.

Good news for those who are not experienced with Flash! You can still edit the dynamic text in the Flash header graphic by editing a text file. All you require is a text editor (i.e. NotePad, WordPad, etc.) and to follow the instructions provided in our Tutorials page.

• Non-Animated - Don't want to use an animated file? We've included the same image in a static .jpg format for you.
• Master Flash File - The template download includes the original Flash element
• Clean Code - the SWF animations are w3.org compliant !

SWF Object File Included

There are a few good reasons why we chose to include Geoff Stearns SWF Object Flash embed code in this template:

1. It provided your users with automatic Flash detection; if your visitor does not have the Flash plugin, it shows them an alternate static image (or text - depending on which you prefer). This template is set-up to provide the alternate static image.
2. It resolves the IE update issue which requires (IE) users to click to view the movie.
3. The script allows the flash movie to validate as clean XHTML.
